About GLP Wise

GLP Wise is a personal tracker for people taking GLP-1 weight-loss medication. The app and the service behind it are built and operated from South Africa by FNC Labs (Pty) Ltd. This page is the canonical disclosure of who runs the service, in line with section 43 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002 ("ECT Act").
1. Why South African?
GLP Wise is South Africa's first GLP-1 tracker — built and operated locally, in Rand, with the realities of the South African weight-loss-medication landscape baked into the product. Concretely, that means:
- Built and operated locally. The company (FNC Labs (Pty) Ltd), the development team, and the support inbox all sit in South Africa. The development inbox at support@glpwise.com is staffed during South African Standard Time (SAST, UTC+2) business hours, so when you write in during the day you are talking to someone in your time zone.
- Pricing in Rand. Every Pro plan (Monthly R49, Yearly R399, Lifetime R999) is denominated in South African Rand on both the Apple App Store and Google Play, with no exchange-rate surprises on your bill.
- POPIA-compliant by design. GLP Wise treats your weight, food, water, exercise and medication entries as special-category health data under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013. Florian Heinrich is the registered POPIA Information Officer; the full disclosure lives in the Privacy Policy. Complaints can be lodged directly with the South African Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
- Tuned for the SA prescription landscape. Mounjaro®, Ozempic®, Wegovy®, Saxenda® and the other GLP-1s available through Clicks, Dis-Chem and Medirite are the medications GLP Wise was designed around. The Doctor Report PDF is laid out for the consultation patterns South African endocrinologists, GPs and dietitians actually use.
- Aware of local medical aids. GLP Wise is a tracker, not a billing tool — we don't bundle a medical-aid claims integration — but the Doctor Report exports the data fields your scheme typically needs when you motivate for chronic-condition or weight-management cover (currently Discovery, Bonitas, Momentum, GEMS and Medihelp are the schemes our users most commonly export reports for).
- ECT Act §43 disclosure on this page. South African online-consumer-protection law requires the supplier behind a service to be disclosable in plain view; section 4 below carries that disclosure.
If we ever lose the right to call ourselves "first" — for example, if a competing South-African-targeted GLP-1 tracker launches — we will fall back to the more conservative wording "Built in South Africa, for South Africans on GLP-1" across every surface in the same release. The substantiation paper trail for the current "first" claim is re-walked by the FNC Labs team before every App Store and Google Play submission, and a written copy is available on request via support@glpwise.com.

3. What GLP Wise does
GLP Wise is a mobile and web application that helps adults on GLP-1 weight-loss medication keep track of their injections, dose escalations, weight, body measurements, food, water, exercise and side-effects. Pro users can also generate a Doctor Report PDF, see weekly summaries, and use AI features such as food-photo analysis and meal suggestions.

4. ECT Act §43 disclosure (online consumer protection)
This page satisfies the South African ECT Act §43(1) requirement to publish, in plain view, the following information about the supplier:

5. POPIA compliance
GLP Wise is a POPIA-regulated processor of personal information and special-category health data. The full data-handling disclosure lives in the Privacy Policy. Complaints about our handling of personal information can also be lodged with the South African Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
6. App store presence
GLP Wise is published on the Apple App Store (iOS / iPadOS) and Google Play (Android) under the developer name "FNC Labs (Pty) Ltd". The Apple App Store and Google Play handle all in-app purchases on our behalf via Apple In-App Purchase and Google Play Billing respectively; FNC Labs (Pty) Ltd never sees or stores card details. Subscription state is reconciled by RevenueCat acting as our subscription processor.
7. Trademarks
"GLP Wise", the GLP Wise wordmark, and the GLP Wise icon are trademarks of FNC Labs (Pty) Ltd. The Wise Teal palette and the supporting brand artwork are also property of FNC Labs (Pty) Ltd. All third-party marks (Apple, App Store, Google, Google Play, OpenAI, RevenueCat, Sentry, Replit, etc.) belong to their respective owners and are used for descriptive purposes only.
Brand names referenced in this app — including the GLP-1 medication names Mounjaro®, Ozempic®, Wegovy®, Saxenda®, Trulicity®, Rybelsus®, Victoza® and Zepbound®, the manufacturers Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly, and any retailer or medical scheme named in the app — belong to their respective owners. GLP Wise is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Novo Nordisk, Eli Lilly, or any retailer or medical scheme named in the app. The names are used in their ordinary descriptive sense to help you record what you are taking, where you bought it, and who covers it.
